When I bought “Kire”, our car for the last ten years, I decided to make a service log for every time I would make repairs or whatever to the car. And I did. Every oil change to new tires, etc… I would log the kilometer reading, the date, and the service or parts that were replaced. Now, I’m planning to sell Kire so that we can make a down payment for a newer car. I showed the car to a trader recently but all he wanted to know was the model of the car and if I had a copy of the car documents. I was expecting a more detailed inspection but not even a test drive to feel the general condition of the car. I even bragged about the service history of the car but he just smiled at me and nodded his head. Well, I suppose that’s how things are in the buy and sell business. You only get a price tag for the appearance, make and model. All the pampering and care that went into the car don’t really matter anymore. I just hope that next owner of Kire will appreciate her.
